At feathered family we care for a small number of unwanted, homeless, or behavioraly challanged parrots at a time. Our mission to to help educate people in the proper care and commitment for parrots, and promote adoption in place of breeding.
Surrendering a bird to us requrires signing a contract, and the owner will not be able to track the bird once it is rehomed.
Our adoption proccess is long, and we require a lot more than a simple contract. Each bird that we have placed has remained in that home, and we offer follow up support for our lifetime to help be sure that the bird does not end up in yet another home.
We are located in Colorado, and only adopt in Colorado, we do not ship birds ever. The website also has a species index, forums, parrot care info, and much more for the parrot owner.
