Baby

I have never been so taken in by a birds' plight as I was with Baby. He was found on the shelf of a local pet store, wrapped in a paper bag. Baby was full of mites and severely plucked. Even if the owner could not provide medical care for this bird, I was grateful that the owner brought the bird to a place where he could be found instead of letting him fly free or throwing him in the trash.
I took this bird in after another local club was unable to take him, due to what could be high medical bills. I took Baby to my Vet who treats all Parrot Haven birds, free of cost. He treated Baby for the mites, after an exam. Baby was very friendly, but died within a week. He was just too emaciated to survive.
