The Parrot Fancier’s Club, Inc. DBA Parrot Haven, EIN-11-3458655,is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, thus allowing those who need to perform Community Service, to be able to do so at Parrot Haven, located in Lindenhurst, NY. Whether it be volunteering through school, college  or as a result of having to make restitution after being sentenced through the courts, hours are available at
 Parrot Haven, assisting to take care of the birds. Many clients are assigned through EAC located in Hempstead & Hauppauge. This enables the clients to be supervised by an outside agency who can help assist the client through the court process.
 All court ordered clients must be willing to commit to at least 7 hours a week, to  be able to help care for birds, including assisting  with cleaning,  feeding and general maintenance. Since all clients have to complete their hours within a specified amount of time, there must be a certain commitment & responsibility for all participants. 
 Community Service is defined as a punitive sentence that requires a convicted person to perform unpaid work for 
the community in lieu of imprisonment.
 Parrot Haven will also accommodate teens assigned through Youth Court, starting at age 14. 
For those who are sentenced from an out of county or state jurisdiction, Parrot Haven can also accommodate your court order,
 having worked with clients who have had infractions in states such as Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania & Georgia.
